Our Founder

Grier S. Laughlin - January 21, 1974 - February 20, 2011

Quintus was founded by Grier Laughlin in 2008 with Amanda Silkwood. Prior to founding Quintus, Grier and Amanda were teamed up when Amanda was hired as Grier's assistant while he worked as an investment advisor at Amfirst Bank. Over the next 3 years, Grier worked to foster a culture of collaboration between the members of Quintus, their clients and their partners. Grier succeeded in creating an organization that was more of a family than a firm.

On February 20th, 2011, Grier tragically lost his life in an automobile accident. He was married to Karen and a father to Addison, Grier Jr., and Caroline. Grier was a trusted partner to all of us at Quintus and a trusted advisor to his clients. More importantly, he was a great friend to all.

We will continue to strive to make Quintus the firm he envisioned in 2005.
